Our driver greets you in your hotel lobby (about 1 hour before, depending on your hotel) and the city melts into countryside as we head out toward the elephant sanctuary.
No riding, no chains, no hooks — just welfare-first moments. Prepare fruit baskets, roll healthy vitamin balls, walk with the herd, and help bathe them in the mud pit and river. Karen shirt and sandals provided.
Wind down from elephant time with a generous Thai buffet before we head to the farm.
A scenic ~37-minute drive from the sanctuary brings us to Happy Herb Farm.
Explore nearby Chedi Mae Krua market with your chef (5 minutes from the farm) — smell, taste and learn the ingredients — then harvest fresh herbs from the farm garden.
At your own station in our open-air kitchen you will wok-fry, pound curry paste, and balance sweet-sour-salty-spicy like a local. Four classic dishes plus 1 Thai drink — choose Thai tea or our signature Happy Herb farm tea. All dietary needs welcome.
Mix a fragrant herbal drink, then pick dried herbs from the farm garden to blend into your very own scented sachet to take home.
Sit down at the farm table and enjoy your own creations as an early sunset dinner — plus the recipe book (PDF) to take home.
Full, happy and a camera roll heavier — we drop you right at your hotel.
